Ecuador Mission Immersion

On Thursday, July 11th, a seventeen member team departed for Quito, Ecuador. Eleven members of the team are from UBC with six joining from North Carolina, including Patti and Willard Hale and members of Fist Baptist Church of Clayton.

The Ecuador team will build water filtration systems, help provide dental and medical care, work with children, and care for indigenous churches.

UBC has partnered with Rescate Ecuador, a ministry organized by Marco Vinicio and his family, who have been serving the Chimborazo region for two generations. Their work focuses on health, education, farming, and social care.

The team will arrive in Quito on the evening of July 11, departing for the Riobamba region on July 12 and serving in various ministry capacities. On July 16, the group will return in the evening to Quito, flying out on July 17 and arriving home on July 18.

Please join us in praying for the team. Pray for traveling mercies, cohesiveness, openness, humility, courage, and energy.

Pray for those we will encounter. Pray for openness to the Gospel, trust to be served, and wisdom to speak into the lives our team members.

The Ecuador Team will share stories from their journey in worship on July 21. You can also follow the @ubcbr on Instagram and Facebook page for pictures during the trip.

If the Lord is willing, our desire is to continue to send mission immersion teams to Ecuador in the years to come. Be on the lookout for more information about next year’s trip.
